Is Monel 400 resistant to seawater?
Yes. It resists flowing seawater and chloride stress-corrosion cracking, which is why it is standard in marine and offshore service.
Can it be supplied as welding wire?
Yes — Monel 400 wire is drawn and spooled for TIG/MIG filler use, with the spool weight and diameter set to your process.
What is the minimum diameter?
0.10 mm in routine production. Finer diameters are quoted case by case.
