Wire that arrives in the condition it left in — with the paperwork to match.
A fine wire order can be perfect at despatch and useless on arrival if it was spooled badly, packed for the wrong journey, or classified under the wrong tariff heading. Export is a process, and this is ours.
Documentation
The document set that travels with a shipment.
| Document | Purpose | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Commercial invoice | Customs valuation and payment | Currency, incoterm and HS code stated on the face of the invoice |
| Packing list | Physical description of the consignment | Coils, spools or cases with net and gross weights per package |
| Material test certificate | Confirms the grade and properties of the delivered batch | Batch number matches the label on every package |
| Certificate of origin | Establishes origin for tariff and preferential treatment purposes | Issued through the competent authority where the destination requires it |
| HS classification statement | Declares the tariff heading used for the goods | Agreed with the freight forwarder or the customer's broker before booking |
| Bill of lading / air waybill | Contract of carriage and title document | Original, telex release or sea waybill per agreement |
| Fumigation / ISPM 15 marking | Wooden packaging compliance for the destination country | Applied to wooden pallets and cases where required |

Classification
Nickel wire and copper-alloy wire are not the same shipment.
The tariff heading follows the alloy, not the shape. Our nickel-based grades classify under HS chapter 75 and the copper-nickel grades under chapter 74. That distinction matters, because the two chapters can attract very different duty treatment in the same destination country.
Read this before you budget duty. Tariff treatment depends on the heading, the country of origin and the importing country's measures in force on the date of import — and those measures change, sometimes at short notice. We agree the classification with the forwarder or with your customs broker before the booking is confirmed, and we do not represent a tariff outcome. For a duty forecast, ask your broker to rule on the heading we declare.
Packaging
Fine wire is fragile in ways that do not show on a photo.
A 0.025 mm wire can be destroyed by its own weight if it is coiled for a heavier gauge, and a kinked spool becomes scrap on the customer's line. Packing is chosen by diameter, not by habit.
Spooled
Plastic or wooden spools for 0.025 – 0.5 mm. Prevents tangling and protects the surface from mechanical damage in transit.
Coiled
5 – 25 kg per coil, film-wrapped. The usual format for mid-range diameters and the cheapest to handle at both ends.
Cased and palletised
Wooden cases or pallets, reinforced and marked to the customer's requirement, with ISPM 15 treatment where the destination requires it.
Logistics
Routed through Shanghai and Ningbo.
Changzhou sits inland from both ports, so sea freight is booked through the forwarder the customer nominates or through one we work with. Air and courier options are used for samples and urgent replacement lengths.

Practical questions
Before you open a letter of credit.
Which markets are you set up to supply?
Documentation and packing are prepared for shipments to Europe, North America, Northeast Asia, South and Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Russia / CIS. Our market focus is on destinations where alloy wire is bought against a written specification and a material certificate, rather than on price alone.
If your destination has a mandatory product-approval regime for the material — a local certification that the importer must hold — tell us at enquiry stage. It affects the timeline far more than it affects the price, and it is better known before the order than after.
Can you ship against a letter of credit?
Documentary credit terms can be reviewed provided the required document set is agreed before the order is confirmed — in particular whether an inspection certificate from a named third party is required, since that adds an inspection booking and a lead time. Payment instruments and document requirements are agreed with the quotation before production starts.
Can we nominate our own forwarder?
Yes. If you nominate the forwarder and confirm the Incoterm, we will deliver to the agreed point and provide the documents the forwarder requires. If you would rather we arrange carriage, we will quote it.
What happens if a shipment is short or out of specification?
Notify us against the batch number within the inspection window agreed in the contract, with the measured values and photographs. Retained samples let us re-verify the batch here. The remedy — replacement or credit — follows the contract, which is why the inspection window and claims wording should be settled before the first shipment rather than after the first problem.
Is there a minimum for export orders?
There is no container minimum. Air and courier consignments start from the 1 kg sample, and small production orders are quoted at the same unit prices as larger ones up to the quantity break. What does scale is the freight cost per kilogram, so it is usually worth consolidating a first order rather than splitting it.
Next step
Send the specification and the destination port.
We will come back with the unit price, the conversion fee, the lead time, the document set and a freight indication — before you commit to anything.
