For Vacuum & Electron Device Builders

In vacuum work the surface is the material. An oxide layer or a drawing lubricant residue that would be invisible elsewhere becomes an outgassing source at 10⁻⁶ mbar.

What we control

VariableWhy it matters in vacuum
CarbonGraphitisation above 315 °C; Ni201 at 0.02 % is the safe grade
SurfaceBright, annealed in controlled atmosphere, no residual drawing lubricant
DiameterFeedthrough and grid dimensions are set by the wire
Lot traceabilityDevice qualification is per lot, not per grade

N4 is the grade normally specified for vacuum and semiconductor parts because of its higher purity and low carbon. N6 is used where the part never sees high temperature.

Order sizes

Vacuum and electron device work is characterised by small lots and long qualification cycles. Our minimum is 1 kg, and the 100 g sample exists precisely for the qualification stage.

Questions we get asked
Can you supply 0.02 mm nickel wire for grid structures?
0.025 mm is routine; below that we quote case by case, and the answer depends on the length and the spool you can handle.
Is the wire cleaned before packing?
Yes — bright annealed in controlled atmosphere, then spooled. State any additional cleaning requirement at quotation.

Send the specification — diameter, grade, temper, quantity.

We come back with a confirmed lead time and the documentation we can issue for the shipment. 100 g sample at cost; orders from 1 kg.
