Application guide
For Thermocouple & Sensor Makers
You build the probe. We take the pairing step off your bench — both legs from one melt, one melt number, one delivery.
What actually slows a probe bench down
- Pairing spools from two batches and proving the join
- Running out of a fine gauge mid-order and waiting four weeks
- Qualifying a new supplier for a 10 kg trial lot that nobody wants to run
- Explaining to a customer's auditor where the wire came from
None of these are metallurgy problems. They are lot-size and documentation problems, and they are the ones we are set up for.
What we supply
| Item | Specification |
|---|---|
| Types | K, E, J, T (extension: KX, EX, JX, TX) |
| Diameter | 0.018 – 6.00 mm |
| Tolerance | Class 1 or Class 2 to IEC 60584-1 |
| Pairing | Positive and negative drawn from the same melt, shipped together |
| Minimum order | 1 kg |
| Sample | 100 g at cost |
| Lead time | 3–7 days |
The question your auditor will ask
"Show me the melt number for both legs." If the answer is two different numbers, the homogeneity argument collapses. Ours is one number on both labels and on the inspection report.
Questions we get asked
Can you supply MI cable conductor wire?
Yes — bare thermocouple wire in the diameter your cable line runs, with the surface condition agreed before production.
What if I need 5 kg of four different types?
That is a normal order for us. Each type is packed and labelled separately, and the documentation is issued per lot.
Send the specification — diameter, grade, temper, quantity.
We come back with a confirmed lead time and the documentation we can issue for the shipment. 100 g sample at cost; orders from 1 kg.
