Application guide
For Battery Tab & Current Collector Makers
Fast sampling matters more than price in this segment. A cell design that waits six weeks for a 2 kg lot of nickel wire is a design that slips a quarter.
What cell and pack developers ask for
- 0.05–0.5 mm nickel wire in small lots for prototype tabs
- Consistent diameter so the weld schedule does not have to be re-taught
- Chemistry documentation for the customer's own audit
- Delivery in days, not weeks
We are a wire mill, not a strip mill. Where a tab design needs flat strip, we will say so rather than quote around it. Where it needs round wire — spot-weldable tabs, fusible links, connection wire — this is exactly our range.
| Item | Range |
|---|---|

| Minimum order | 1 kg |
| Sample | 100 g at cost |
| Lead time | 3–7 days |
Straight answer
If you are buying tonnes of nickel strip for production tabs, we are not the cheapest call. If you are qualifying a design and need 1–5 kg this week, we probably are.
Questions we get asked
Do you supply strip?
No — wire is our line. Ask us for wire and we will tell you honestly if strip is what you actually need.
Can you hold a diameter tolerance for automated welding?
Yes, within the range stated at quotation; the tolerance is printed on the inspection report.
Send the specification — diameter, grade, temper, quantity.
We come back with a confirmed lead time and the documentation we can issue for the shipment. 100 g sample at cost; orders from 1 kg.
